New Purchases

You may purchase our programs in either single, multiple or site license form.  

• Single licenses permit the use of the programs on one microcomputer
• Multiple licenses are useful in lab or classroom settings where the software will be used on more than one microcomputer 
• Site licenses allow installation of programs on any number of machines within a single campus.  Site licenses carry the additional benefit of qualifying for processing cost-only upgrades

Each purchase package contains one CD-ROM containing both Windows and Macintosh (when available) versions of the ordered programs and Teacher's Guides for each.  (A Teacher's Guide provides a description of a program, instructions for its use, and teaching strategies.  You can obtain copies of these from our downloads page.)

Discounts are available:

• Purchase any three or four programs and receive a 15% discount
• Purchase all five programs and receive a 20% discount
• Simultaneous purchases by multiple schools within a school district receive an additional discount.  Contact sales@riversci.com for more information and a quote
• If you are increasing your license size, you will receive a discount -- see "Increasing Your Licenses" below
• If you've already purchased one or two of our programs, additional program purchases may qualify for the 15% or 20% discount mentioned above.  Contact sales@riversci.com for more information and a quote

Pricing information is provided in the following table.  The license numbers are provided as examples; we will be happy to provide quotes for other quantities.  Quotes can be obtained by writing to sales@riversci.com. 

Increasing Your Licenses (use the regular order form, a PDF file)

Increasing your licenses is relatively inexpensive.  If after making an initial purchase you decide to increase the number of licenses you own, your cost will be the difference in price between the new number of licenses and what you originally paid. 

For example, suppose you initially purchased 5 licenses for Seasons at a cost of $150 and now wanted to expand to a 30-license.  The cost to you would be the cost of 30 licenses ($330) minus the $150 already paid, or only $180.

You may wish to contact sales@riversci.com for a quote that takes into account your past purchases.

Upgrades

Site Licenses (allows for an unlimited number of computers within the same building)

If you are the holder of a site license, you can upgrade for a $10 processing fee. 

A site license upgrade includes all available upgrades for the programs you own.

Seasons (use the upgrade order form, a PDF file)

Version 1 to Version 2 upgrades for Seasons are:

• $50 if you hold 1 to 4 licenses
• $75 if you hold 5 or more licenses

Winds (use the upgrade order form, a PDF file)

Version 1 to Version 2 upgrades of Winds are:

• FREE if you purchased Winds Version 1 during 2007
• $50 if you hold 1 to 4 licenses
• $75 if you hold 5 or more licenses

Cyclones (formerly Storm Systems) (use the upgrade order form, a PDF file)

Version 1 to Version 2 upgrades for Cyclones are:

• $50 if you hold 1 to 4 licenses
• $75 if you hold 5 or more licenses

New Moon

Version 1 to Version 2 upgrades for New Moon cost $25 regardless of the number of licenses owned. 

Clouds (use the upgrade order form, a PDF file)

The Version 1 upgrade for Clouds that makes the program compatible with Windows 2000/XP costs $25 regardless of the number of licenses owned.

Payment

We accept purchase orders, personal checks, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). POs and credit card orders will not be billed until your order is shipped.  Checks will be cashed upon receipt.

POs and personal checks should be made out to "Riverside Scientific, Inc."

Placing Orders

To place an order, print out a copy of the regular order form (for initial purchases or increasing licenses) or the upgrade order form, fill it out, and send it to us by either toll-free fax or conventional mail:

If you are paying by credit card, you will receive an invoice and instructions for paying through PayPal's secure transaction site.  (No PayPal account is required.)

Orders are usually shipped within five business days. If you have not received your order within ten business days, please contact us at sales@riversci.com.
