Troubleshooting

Symptom: Explanation :
The Installshield installer will show a window saying that it needs "the next disk" that contains the file "layout.bin." Follow this link to the fix in installation support.
On the main map, selecting temperature or dew point for display results in a map with a uniform color. This happens when your Windows color setting is not 24- or 32-bit.  To correct this, right-click on the Windows desktop, choosing Properties from the pop-up menu, then the Settings tab.  Under Colors or Color Quality choose either 24- or 32-bit color.

Known Bugs

Version 1.01:

There are no known bugs at this time.  This version corrects the two bugs listed below.

Version 1.0:

  • On the forecast screen, the label for the temperature forecasts indicates degrees Celsius. It actually requires input in degrees Fahrenheit.
  • On the main screen's map using the station model option for the appearance of the stations, cloud cover is indicated using confusing colors. Clear is a white circle, which suggests to many that it is cloudy.
